Eligibility Criteria for KMU MBBS & BDS

To be eligible for admission, candidates must meet the following requirements:

◆ Academic Qualification: Minimum 60% marks in Higher Secondary School Certificate or FSc (Pre-Medical) with 12th grade or equivalent qualification from any BISE in Pakistan or abroad.
◆ MDCAT: The candidate must have passed the Medical & Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT) – 2024, 2025, or 2026 with minimum 55% marks for MBBS and 50% marks for BDS.
◆ Domicile: Candidates must have domicile of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa or Merged Districts (MDs).

Merit Criteria for KMU

The weightage criteria for calculation of Aggregate Percentage shall be as follows:

◆ Secondary School Certificate (SSC) or equivalent: 10%
◆ Intermediate Pre-Medical (HSSC) or equivalent: 40%

Application Process for KMU

1. Visit the official KMU admission portal: cas.kmu.edu.pk .

2. Register your account with a valid CNIC and email address.

3. Fill out the online application form with accurate details.

4. Upload scanned copies of all required documents.

5. Pay the application processing fee as specified.

6. Submit your online application before 21 October 2026.

7. Check the merit list for your admission status.

8. If selected, deposit the fee within three working days.
   → KMU has become a paperless university; hard copies of application forms will not be accepted. Candidates must apply online through the KMU admissions website.

Important Instructions for Applicants

◆ Incomplete or deficient application forms shall not be entertained.
◆ No admission forms will be accepted by hand or through mail/courier.
◆ Applicants from MDs/Ex-FATA and B areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa shall submit their certificates of loci of institutions as per specimen uploaded on the KMU admissions website.
◆ Applicants shall list college(s) for admission in order of priority in the desired fields provided in the online form.
◆ Applicants selected for any category shall have to deposit their fee after receiving the admission offer letter within three working days in KMU account. Candidates failing to do so will be considered for admission in the next category.
◆ The allocation of seats for various categories in respective Medical/Dental Colleges is available on the website.
◆ Those eligible for applying against Open Merit Seats can also apply for admission against MBBS reciprocal seats available for domicile holders of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
◆ Any candidate found to have submitted forged certificates or fake documents/information at any stage of admission shall be debarred from admission to any Medical/Dental institution under the rules.
◆ No separate call letters will be issued for interview/placement of candidates.
