The National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS) is now accepting applications for the 17th batch of its highly regarded Certificate in Health Professions Education (CHPE). This six-month, 12-credit program is specifically designed to empower healthcare professionals—including doctors, dentists, nurses, and allied health specialists—by enhancing their teaching and educational leadership skills. Structured around a competency-based framework, the CHPE program focuses on applied learning, combining innovative pedagogical techniques with hands-on practice. Delivered through a blended learning model, it integrates face-to-face sessions with comprehensive online coursework via the Moodle platform. The curriculum comprises four intensive courses, each spanning 5–6 weeks, and is assessed through continuous evaluation, summative tasks, and a final certification exam. Eligibility requires applicants to possess 16 years of education in a relevant discipline (MBBS/BDS, BS Nursing, or BS Allied Health Sciences) along with valid registration from the appropriate regulatory body. Admission is merit-based, and those not selected in this intake may be considered for the next cycle. The registration window is now open, with a regular fee of Rs. 3,000 until February 6, 2026. Late registration, at an increased fee of Rs. 5,000, extends until February 13. The course fee is Rs. 68,000 (Rs. 78,000 for late enrollees). Selected candidates will be notified on February 23, 2026, with the program commencing on March 24, 2026. Prospective applicants must submit their forms online and provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer, if applicable. No applications will be entertained after the late registration deadline.
