Overview of NNF-IAS Fellowship Programme
The NNF-IAS Fellowship Programme is a prestigious collaboration between the eight Nordic Institutes for Advanced Studies, coordinated by the Aarhus Institute of Advanced Studies (AIAS) and supported by the Novo Nordisk Foundation with a grant of DKK 48.3 million . The programme runs from 2027 until 2032 and hosts excellent early-career researchers across Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden .
This ambitious initiative brings together five fellows and one theme lead per cohort to work on individual two-year fellowships in parallel across the Nordic countries, with the aim of strengthening research, mobility, talent, and networking in and across the region.

Eligibility Criteria for NNF-IAS Fellowship
◉ Open to researchers of any nationality .
◉ Career experience of 2 to 10 years after completion of the PhD (PhD training period not considered) .
◉ Mobility requirement: Must not have resided or carried out main work activity in the country of priority for more than 12 months in the two years prior to the deadline .
◉ Must be excited about interdisciplinary, cross-Nordic research collaboration.
◉ Must be willing to reside in the host country for the fellowship duration.
