Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility criteria vary by program level at AUP.

For M.Sc. (Hons), MPhil, and MS Programs:

• Candidates must hold a relevant Bachelor's degree (16 years of education) or equivalent.

• A minimum of 50% marks in the GAT (General) test conducted by NTS or the university's own admission test is required.

For PhD Programs:

• Candidates must hold a relevant MS/MPhil degree with a strong academic record.

• A minimum of 60% marks in the GAT (Subject) test is required.

• Online UAT (Admission Test) Registration Starts: July 06, 2026

• Last Date to Submit UAT Forms to DASAR Office: July 16, 2026

• University Admission Test (UAT): July 25, 2026

• Online Admission Forms Available: August 03, 2026

• Last Date to Submit Admission Forms to Departments: August 13, 2026

How to Apply (Step by Step)

1. Visit the official AUP admission portal at portal.aup.edu.pk.

2. Apply online for the University Admission Test (UAT), selecting your desired discipline.

3. Deposit the UAT fee of Rs. 1,500/- (non-refundable) in the designated university account (Habib Bank Ltd, AUP Branch, Account # 14877902286403) .

4. Submit the printed copy of the UAT form along with the paid bank receipt to the Directorate of Advanced Studies and Research (DASAR) office by the deadline .

5. Appear for the University Admission Test on the scheduled date.

6. If you qualify, deposit the admission processing fee of Rs. 1,500/- (non-refundable) .

7. Submit the completed admission application form, along with all required attested documents and the fee receipt, to the concerned department/institute by the final deadline .

8. For applications to multiple disciplines, submit a separate form and an additional fee of Rs. 600/- for each extra program 

9. Await the merit list and interview schedules, which will be posted on the university website.
