Asia-Europe Training and Youth Summit on Science and Technology Diplomacy 2026 – Fully Funded in Jakarta

The Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) invites early-career professionals to apply for the second edition of the Asia-Europe Training and Youth Summit on Science and Technology Diplomacy 2026.

This program brings together civil society researchers and science managers, as well as government diplomats and officials working at the intersection of science, technology, and international relations. Participants join an online training (22 July – 8 October 2026) followed by a fully funded Youth Summit in Jakarta, Indonesia (19–24 October 2026).

Online Training (22 July – 8 October 2026) – Approximately 120 young professionals will participate in webinars and hands‑on interactive workshops. Live sessions take place on Tuesdays (8am–9:30am UTC) and Thursdays (8am–10am UTC). Participants must also join a Welcome session (22 July) and a Networking session (20 August).

Youth Summit in Jakarta (19–24 October 2026) – Selected participants (approximately 40) from the online training will be invited to Jakarta. Youth delegates will prepare and present a Declaration on Youth Perspectives on Asia-Europe Cooperation in Science Diplomacy to senior stakeholders at high‑level events.

  • Professional profile (choose one):

    • Civil Society: Research and Science Managers in tertiary education institutions, research organisations, or professional organisations working on international science, technology, and innovation matters

    • Government: Diplomats and Government Officials working in international collaboration and science and technology diplomacy

  • English proficiency: Excellent command of English (verbal and written)

  • Not open to undergraduate students or doctoral students/candidates.
