History of Federal Medical & Dental College (FMDC)

The college was established through an Act of Parliament on 21st March 2013. Prior to this, Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani had approved its establishment in 2011, and it was inaugurated by the Prime Minister on June 14, 2011. The college initially functioned from a building owned by the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) in Chak Shahzad and later relocated to the Al-Farabi Centre, G-8/4, Islamabad, in December 2017.
