Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:

• Be eligible for home fees status at the University of Sheffield

• Be active within a Muslim community and demonstrate intimate knowledge of issues affecting British Muslim communities

• Demonstrate long‑term commitment to community or societal development within Britain

• Show how the course will increase effectiveness in one of the following areas relating to British Muslims: advocacy and enhancing public perception, or community service and social development

• Have an excellent understanding of your chosen industry with relevant prior experience or achievements

• Demonstrate knowledge of how the course will enable you to generate social impact

• Show that you require financial assistance and are Zakat eligible or in financial need (cannot cover tuition costs)

• Your course must not be funded by the undergraduate funding system or the NHS

Accepted fields of study: Arts and culture, law, media and journalism, policy (excluding health policy), sports, sustainability and the environment, technology, or philanthropy and grantmaking.

Not accepted: Applications for science, health policy, or mathematics courses.
