Daanish University was announced on March 11, 2025, by Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif. The foundation stone was laid on March 15, 2025. The university is funded by £190 million recovered from the UK's National Crime Agency (NCA) and operates under the Daanish Trust for financial independence.
