History of KUST

KUST was established in 2001 and inaugurated by the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The university was founded with four initial institutes: Institute of Information Technology, Institute of Management Sciences, Institute of Education and Research, and the Institute of Microbiology. The university's vision is to have a dynamic outlook, accomplished academic leaders, and a captivating campus. In 2022, the government announced the establishment of a KUST campus in Karam district to extend educational opportunities to the newly merged tribal districts.
