Eligibility Criteria for NUMS

To be eligible for admission to the BS Nursing program, candidates must meet the following requirements:

◉ Minimum 60% marks in Matriculation with Biology.
◉ Minimum 50% marks in FSc (Pre-Medical).
◉ Age limit: 17 to 35 years.
◉ Must fulfill the admission and selection criteria of the respective college selected in the online application.

Entry Test & Merit Criteria

The merit for admission will be determined based on the following weightage:

◆ FSc/HSSC (Pre-Medical) Result OR Valid NUMS MDCAT – 2026 (whichever is higher): 80%
◆ Interview: 20%

Note: The weightage is based on the FSc result or a valid NUMS MDCAT 2026 score, whichever is higher.

★ Online Registration for Admissions Starts: Tuesday, 03 November 2026.
★ Online Registration Ends (with regular fee PKR 2,000, Non-Refundable): Thursday, 03 December 2026.
★ Online Registration Ends (with late fee PKR 2,500, Non-Refundable): Monday, 14 December 2026.
★ Interviews: Wednesday, 30 December 2026 (Onwards).
★ Display of College-Wise Merit Lists: Friday, 15 January 2027 (Tentative).

Required Documents for NUMS

Applicants are generally required to upload the following documents:

✓ CNIC/B-Form (Mandatory for students aged 18 and above).
✓ Form-B/Juvenile Smart National Identity Card (Mandatory for students below 18).
✓ Matric/SSC and FSc/HSSC certificates or transcripts.
✓ IBCC Equivalence Certificate (for foreign qualifications like O/A Levels).
✓ Recent passport-size photographs.
✓ Any additional documents specified on the online portal.

Important Provisions for NUMS

◆ Only online applications are accepted; hard copies or applications sent by post will not be entertained.
◆ Once submitted, the online application cannot be changed.
◆ Incomplete applications may be rejected without intimation.
◆ Provisional admission will be cancelled if credentials cannot be verified.
◆ Candidates applying for the W&R Directorate, GHQ Shuhada (In-Service Death Quota) must also apply separately to the W&R Directorate.
◆ Matric/SSC and FSc/HSSC certificates issued by BISE must be attested by IBCC at the time of admission finalization.
