Understanding the Band System – How Rankings Work

It is important to note that THE rankings use a band system for universities ranked below the top 300. Rather than assigning individual numerical ranks, institutions are grouped into bands because the statistical differences between their scores are not significant enough to justify separate ranks.

◆ Universities ranked below 300 are placed in bands such as 301-400, 401-500, and so on.
◆ This approach ensures fairness and accuracy in the ranking process.
◆ A separate category of "Reporter" status is given to universities that submitted data but did not meet the eligibility criteria for a formal rank.
◆ Over 50 Pakistani universities have been given "Reporter" status this year.
◆ Check public sector admissions for similar opportunities.
