History

The foundation stone of Al-Qadir University was laid on May 5, 2019, by then Prime Minister Imran Khan in Sohawa. The Al-Qadir University Project Trust was officially registered on December 26, 2019. The university was formally inaugurated on March 12, 2021. The institution was established with the vision of transforming the education system along the lines of Egypt's Al Azhar University, with a strong emphasis on Islamic research and character building.
