History

The foundation of Cadet College Hasan Abdal was laid in 1952 under the initiative of General Muhammad Ayub Khan, then Commander-in-Chief of the Pakistan Army, with funding from the Government of Punjab . The college was initially named Punjab Cadet College and was raised by combining military wings from Government College Sahiwal and Islamia College Peshawar at Hasan Abdal . Its founding Principal was Mr. Hugh Catchpole, an eminent British educationist invited specifically to establish the institution .-1-5
