Introduction

The College of Medical Technology (CMT) is a constituent component of the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in Islamabad. It is a public sector institution dedicated to training technicians in various disciplines of the medical profession.

History

The college was donated by the Government of Japan to the people of Pakistan as a gesture of goodwill. Its planning, construction, and equipping were carried out by the Japanese government in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Health. CMT started functioning in September 1987.

Admission Criteria (F.Sc Programs)

• Eligibility: Matriculation with Science (Biology, Physics, Chemistry) with a minimum of 50% marks.

• Age Limit: Maximum 20 years.

• Seat Capacity: Total 130 seats, distributed across regional quotas.

• Application Deadline: 31 August 2026.

Achievements

To date, 4,305 eligible candidates have applied in different disciplines, of which 1,089 have been admitted.
