Khawaja Fareed University of Engineering & Information Technology (KFUEIT) is a public sector university located in Rahim Yar Khan, Punjab, Pakistan. Established in 2014, it is named after the renowned Sufi poet Khwaja Ghulam Fareed. History of KFUEIT

The university was established on the initiative of the then Chief Minister of Punjab, Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif -11. The Punjab Assembly passed the Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering & Information Technology Rahim Yar Khan Act (Act XVI of 2014) on 29 May 2014 -3. Classes started on 1 September 2014 in four rented classrooms of Government College of Technology, with a batch of 200 students in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, and Information Technology -3. The first Vice Chancellor, Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, joined on 2 September 2015, and the university was formally inaugurated on 5 May 2018 by the Chief Minister -3.
