Eligibility Criteria for SZABMU

In accordance with PM&DC Medical and Dental Undergraduate Education (Admissions, Curriculum and Conduct) Policy and Regulations 2025, the basic eligibility criteria for admissions are as follows:

◉ Minimum 60% marks in HSSC Pre-Medical or an equivalent 12th grade qualification (passed the subjects of Biology, Chemistry and either Physics or Mathematics) recognized in Pakistan duly certified by the Inter-Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC).

◉ Passed the Medical & Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2026, 2025 and 2024 of SZABMU, UHS, KMU, BUMHS, IBA Sukkur with minimum 55% marks for MBBS and 50% marks for BDS.

◉ For Foreign Seats: Candidates must hold a permanent Foreign Nationality or be an Overseas Pakistani. Must have studied and passed the intermediate/FSc/HSSC 12th grade examination or equivalent from within or outside Pakistan, duly accompanied by an equivalence certificate issued by IBCC. Must provide proof of study from the last attended institution. Must upload one of the following: Valid Iqama, Residence Permit, Green Card, Maple Card or Foreign Passport.

◉ For Quota Seats: Disability Certificate issued by Federal/Provincial Government Disability Board (for seats of disabled quota only). Parent Employment certificate issued by relevant Federal Government Institution (for seats of Federal Govt. Employees/Disability Certificate as applicable).

◉ In addition to domicile certificate, applicants applying on the basis of domicile must provide proof of residence/property/education or any tangible evidence of stay in region of domicile.

Admission Procedure for SZABMU

1. Eligible applicants are required to visit the SZABMU website: https://admission.szabmu.edu.pk/public/ .

2. The application process shall be completely online; manual or paper-based application shall not be accepted.

3. Only completed and submitted online applications will be considered for admissions.

4. The applicant shall first register on the web portal with the help of his/her CNIC/NICOP/Passport, e-mail ID and a password.

5. After registration, applicants are required to complete the online application form requiring the following steps:

   • Personal Information

   • MDCAT Information

   • Academic Information

   • Upload Scanned Copies of documents

   • Applicants shall have to apply separately for Medical or Dental program

   • Applicant will take print of application processing fee challan from online admission portal and deposit the fee and upload the challan form on admission portal.

6. Separate application processing fee will be charged for each program i.e. MBBS = Rs. 3,000/- and BDS = Rs. 3,000/- which is non-refundable/non-adjustable.

7. Application form once submitted cannot be changed by the applicant.

✓ Recent Passport size color photograph of the applicant with blue/white background.
✓ Valid CNIC/NICOP/Passport of the applicant.
✓ Matriculation (SSC) Certificate or Transcript issued by concerned board/Equivalence Certificate of O-Level/10th grade issued by IBCC.
✓ HSSC (Pre-Medical) Certificate or Transcript issued by concerned board/Equivalence Certificate of A-Level/12th Grade issued by IBCC. The applicants having foreign qualifications shall also upload their original results issued by concerned foreign University/High School Board and showing his/her subjects.
✓ Domicile Certificate of the applicant.
✓ MDCAT Result Certificate.
✓ Scanned copy of application processing paid fee challan (Separate for MBBS and BDS).

Additional Mandatory Documents for Foreign Seats

✓ Candidate must hold a permanent Foreign Nationality or is an Overseas Pakistani (being a Pakistani citizen permanently residing in a foreign country), Green Card Holder, Iqama Holder, Maple Card Holder.
✓ Must have studied and passed the intermediate/FSc/HSSC 12th grade examination or equivalent from within or outside Pakistan, duly accompanied by an equivalence certificate issued by the IBCC and must provide proof of study from the last attended institution.

Important Instructions for SZABMU

◆ The entire process of submission of application is online; hence, there is no need to submit hard copy of application to the University.
◆ Incomplete/not submitted/deficient application forms shall not be entertained. Application once submitted shall be considered final.
◆ It should be noted that any applicant who does not meet the eligibility criteria will not be considered for admission.
◆ As per PM&DC Medical and Dental Undergraduate Education (Admissions, Curriculum and Conduct) Policy and Regulations 2025, admissions to medical and dental programs shall be conducted separately and each student shall be required to apply separately for medical or dental program. No applicant is eligible for admission without application submission to respective program.
◆ Applicants applying for admissions shall give an order of preference for Public Sector Medical and Dental Colleges. A college not included in the preference list of applicant shall not be considered for grant of admission.
◆ Applicants applying on disabled quota seats must furnish disability certificate from a Federal/Provincial Government Disability Board describing the nature of disability and other relevant documents before Medical Examination Board of SZABMU. Certificate issued by Public/Private medical practitioner shall not be considered.
◆ Applicants from Ex-FATA must submit domicile verification from the respective Deputy/Assistant Commissioner as per the specimen available on the website. Without this certificate their application forms will not be entertained.
◆ Applicants applying on Federal Government Employee quota must submit the Parent Employment certificate issued by relevant Federal Government Institution as per the specimen available on the website. Without this certificate their application forms will not be entertained.
◆ Original scanned documents to be uploaded in JPEG or JPG format only and file size should not exceed 512KB per document.
◆ The applicant is solely responsible for uploading the documents in the appropriate manner. Failure to upload the correct documents will lead to the rejection of the application without any notice for which the University shall not be responsible.
◆ The selected applicant shall have to deposit their fee (after securing position in merit list) within due date, failing which the provisional admission will be deemed cancelled and the next applicant on the waiting merit list will be offered admission in order to facilitate timely completion of admission process.
◆ Once applicant is offered admission according to his/her merit and quota, it will be final and will not be changed.
◆ The University shall cancel any provisional admission where the credentials of a student are not verified at any stage of the process.
◆ Any applicant found to have submitted forged certificates or fake documents/information at any stage of admission shall be debarred from admission to any Medical/Dental institution under the rules. The admission of the applicant shall stand CANCELLED.
◆ No separate call letters will be issued for interviews/placement of applicants. All such information will be available on the official website of SZABMU www.szabmu.edu.pk till the completion of admission process.
