Overview of Sindh Research Support Programme

The Sindh Higher Education Commission (SHEC), Government of Sindh, invites innovative research proposals from accomplished and strongly motivated regular faculty members of public sector universities and degree awarding institutes across Sindh province. The Sindh Research Support Programme (SRSP) 2026-27 aims to promote high-quality research that addresses provincial challenges and contributes to socio-economic development through commercialisation potential and alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals.

◆ Research grants of up to Rs. 5 million per project.
◆ Grant duration of two years.

Eligibility Criteria for Sindh Research Support Programme

◉ Must be a full-time regular PhD or FCPS/MCPS/FRCS faculty member (BPS/TTS) in a Public Sector University or Degree Awarding Institute of Sindh.
◉ Applicants can apply for only one SRSP project as Principal Investigator.
◉ Applicants can hold only one SRSP grant at a time as Principal Investigator.
◉ Candidates who received this award during the previous two years are NOT eligible to apply.
