History

Women University Mardan was established in 2016 as a result of popular demand from the people of Mardan. The approval for the university was granted by Chief Minister Pervez Khattak in January 2015, and it was set up in the existing old campus of Abdul Wali Khan University at Main Mardan Road. The institution began its journey with a handful of students and faculty members and has since grown rapidly.
