History of Faisalabad Medical University (FMU)

The institution came into existence in a remote corner of Agriculture University, Lyallpur, in 1973-74 under the enthusiastic supervision of Late Prof. Dr. M. H. Toosy.

◆ Established as Punjab Medical College in 1973.
◆ First MBBS batch graduated in 1978.
◆ College building completed by 1981-82 under Principal Dr. F.M. Choudhry.
◆ Upgraded to Faisalabad Medical University on 5th May 2017.
