Introduction

GCUF Sahiwal Campus is a public private sector sub-campus of Government College University Faisalabad, located in Sahiwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It offers higher education facilities to the surrounding rural communities.

History

The sub-campus was established in 2013. GCUF itself has a long history, originally established in 1864. The Sahiwal Campus was established to extend the university's educational reach to the Sahiwal region.

Recognition and Challenges

In 2016, students protested against the non-recognition of their BSc Engineering degrees by HEC. In 2024, HEC issued an advisory to GCUF to cease further admissions in its Sahiwal sub-campus, which was authorized to operate under the PPP mode until 14-08-2023.
