Eligibility Criteria

• Maximum Age (General): 20 years as of December 31, 2026.

• Maximum Age (Gilgit Baltistan, AJK & Balochistan): 21 years as of December 31, 2026.

• Education:

  • F.Sc. Pre-Engineering with at least 55% marks.

  • A-Levels in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with at least 55% marks (equivalence certificate from IBCC required).

Selection Process

The selection process is rigorous and designed to identify candidates with the right aptitude, physical fitness, and medical suitability for a career at sea.

• NTS Entry Test: Conducted by the National Testing Service (NTS). The test is computer-based and comprises 90 MCQs covering Mathematics (25 MCQs), Chemistry (25 MCQs), English (15 MCQs), and Physics (25 MCQs). A minimum of 50% marks is required to qualify.

• Medical Examination: A comprehensive medical fitness test conducted at designated Army or Navy hospitals for NTS-qualified candidates.

• Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates must clear the following physical standards:

  • 1.6 km run within 8.5 minutes

  • 15 push-ups

  • 15 sit-ups

  • 2 chin-ups

• Interview: A final panel interview to assess a candidate's personality, motivation, and communication skills.
