History of KBIWI

The establishment of KBIWI was welcomed at the highest levels of government. The inaugural session of its Senate was held at the Parliament House in July 2025, presided over by the Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan -1-2. The session was attended by the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Chairman of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), and the Vice Chancellor of the institute -1-2. The university was formally established and recognized on June 8, 2023 -4.
