Important Dates

  • Application Deadline: 30th June at 5 pm (GMT) each year

  • Results Notification: Winners are announced and awarded during the annual Diversity Leadership event and/or via email or post

Note: Scholarship applications sent after the deadline will not be considered. You will have to wait until 1st March of the following year to apply again.

Who Can Apply

Applicants should have a good academic standard or aspire to achieve one, be able to commit to the scholarship programme (which typically includes 6 to 8 mentoring sessions), and have a demonstrable and genuine active interest in diversity, equity, and inclusion .

The scholarships cover a wide range of fields, including law, finance and business, STEAM, disability and neurodiversity, medical, multi-sector, Future Leaders on Boards, Venture Capital and AI, Kidney Healthcare, and more .

How to Apply

Please read these instructions carefully and follow all steps:

  1. Confirm Your Scholarship Sector: In the subject header of your email, clearly state your preferred scholarship sector and your full name. Alternatively, hard copies can be posted to the Foundation's address as per the contact page. If sending by post, please email info@tmbdlf.com to inform them. Photographs of your application are not accepted.

  2. Send Your CV: Provide your Curriculum Vitae, no more than two sides of A4 paper (including your education details).

  3. Provide Two References: Include two references, one of which must be academic. References must not be from family or friends and must include full names and contact details (email and telephone number). You may also send written references if available.

  4. Write a One-Page Statement: On a further single side of A4 paper, clearly address the following points:

    • (i) Your preferred scholarship category

    • (ii) What diversity means to you and how you believe we can close the diversity, equity, and inclusion gaps

    • (iii) What you will do with the funding award

    • (iv) Confirming your commitment to give your time and effort to complete the scholarship programme

    • (v) Confirming your availability to attend the annual lecture event

Please note: There is no application form to complete. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.

  • Respect, etiquette, and manners are key to being part of the Foundation family, and uncooperative attitudes may lead to withdrawal of the scholarship.
