Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility criteria vary by program level. The final selection is based on academic performance, an interview, and research potential .

For MPhil/MS Programs:

• 16 years of education in a relevant field (Economics, Business, Policy, etc.) .

• A valid GAT-General score or PIDE’s internal entry test is required .

For PhD Programs:

• An MPhil/MS degree in a relevant subject with a minimum 3.0 CGPA (out of 4.0) .

• A valid GAT-Subject score or PIDE’s internal entry test is required .

• A research proposal may be required at a later stage .

Scholarships

PIDE offers financial support to deserving students:

• Work Study Program (WSP) : A monthly stipend of PKR 80,000 is available under this program .

• Merit & Need-Based Scholarships are also available to support students .

How to Apply (Step by Step)

1. Visit the official PIDE admission portal at admissions.pide.org.pk .

2. Create an account and select your desired program.

3. Fill out the online application form with accurate personal and academic details .

4. Upload the required documents (academic transcripts, personal statement, research proposal for PhD, letters of recommendation for PhD, CNIC, passport-size photograph) .

5. Pay the prescribed application processing fee (deposit online in PIDE Account No. 02940010862301, HBL QAU Branch, or in person at HBL, QAU branch through Challan Form) .

6. Submit the application before the deadline of August 10, 2026 .

7. Appear for the entry test on August 18, 2026 .

8. If shortlisted, appear for an interview on August 19, 2026 .

9. Check the final merit list on August 24, 2026 and follow the instructions for enrollment if selected .
