Introduction

Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University (SBBU) Sanghar Campus is a public sector sub-campus of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University, Shaheed Benazirabad (Nawabshah). It was established in May 2016 and is the first general university in Sanghar District. The campus is located beside P.S.S.S.S Degree College Sanghar, on Nawabshah Road.

History

The campus was established in May 2016 as a sub-campus of SBBU Shaheed Benazirabad. It was initially announced to open in a temporary building in Tando Adam. The university was established through a legislative act of the Sindh Assembly (Sindh Act No. XIX of 2010) and is funded by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan.

Academic Programs

The campus offers four-year undergraduate programs across several departments:

• Department of Business Administration – Established in 2016 as the pioneering department. Offers Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA).

• Department of English – Established in 2016. Offers BS in English Literature and Linguistics.

• Department of Information Technology – Established in 2016. Offers BS in Information Technology.

• Facilities: The campus aims to provide higher education to students from Sanghar District, especially from AchroThar (Taluka Khipro) and adjoining districts of Mirpurkhas and Umerkot

Recognition

SBBU Sanghar Campus is a public sector university recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan. In the 2026-27 budget, the Sanghar Campus was allocated Rs145.40 million.
