History

The National Aerospace Science and Technology Park (NASTP) was inaugurated by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on 4 August 2023 at PAF Base Nur Khan, Rawalpindi. NASTP Kharian was developed as a regional center for Punjab province, housing an IT park and an Air University affiliated campus. The Kharian campus was officially opened around early 2024, with academic activities commencing from the Spring 2024 semester.
