History of Khyber College of Dentistry Peshawar (KCD)

The college was originally inaugurated in 1964 as a Department of Dentistry under Khyber Medical College, with an intake of only 14 students. It was the brainchild of Dr. Hassan Raza Shah, General Mohammad Akram, and Mr. Mohammad Ali. In 1990, it was upgraded from a department to an independent college. The first batch of students graduated in 1968, and the B.D.S. degree was recognized by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council in November 1968.
