History

The foundation of Riphah International University traces back to 1995 when the Islamic International Medical College Trust (IIMCT) was established. The first project of the trust was the Islamic International Medical College in Rawalpindi, established in 1996 by Founding Managing Trustee Late Maj. Gen. (R) Muhammad Zulfiqar Ali Khan. The university was subsequently chartered by the Federal Government in 2002 and has since grown into a multi-campus institution.
