History of KIDS Kohat

The college was approved in 2014 by the then Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pervez Khattak, as part of the provincial government's Health Emergency Program. Construction of the purpose-built campus was completed at a cost of Rs10 billion, and the new building was inaugurated in March 2023. The institute faced a period of non-registration with the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) for approximately four years, which was resolved in 2018 when the federal government granted recognition to the BDS program.
